What We Do

Todos Podemos seeks to democratize access to social entrepreneurship via education.

We train social entrepreneurs in vulnerable communities in Colombia, providing them with the necessary tools for business creation, the development of soft skills and organizational values. In addition to generating their own income, the people we train become agents of change and reduce the social gap, solving social and environmental needs within their communities thanks to their skills, passions and knowledge.

Have you heard the Chinese proverb that says “Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you will feed him for the rest of his life”? In today's world, with such a competitive economy and increasingly scarce natural resources, this message is no longer completely true. Nowadays, with such dense populations, if every person fishes, the fish will soon be gone. Furthermore, we know that communities where everyone depends on the same product tend to be hit hard by poverty. The high competition between people to be able to sell their products causes prices to fall, resulting in income that does not justify the work and does not allow them to live with dignity. For this reason, few fishing communities are sustainable and income from fishing almost never improves the quality of life of the population.

From the logic of Todos Podemos, it is relevant to explain to people how to fish, but it is more important to teach them to be resourceful, and creative and to work as a community for the common good.

We train individuals to create or be part of sustainable and complementary productive systems, where, if one person fishes, others can build boats, offer tourist visits, open fish restaurants, or raise fish to create a more equitable, ecological local entrepreneurial ecosystem. and sustainable. For us, just as people have roles in families or organizations, ventures are actors that play an important role in each territory, according to the needs they satisfy, and the skills or passions of each entrepreneur.
